Cable Laying Method - In the Ground

The In the Ground method is used to describe the method for cables directly buried in the ground. a routing line has to be placed to define a cable path through the ground.

  1. When placing a routing line using the RaceWay Router, the In the Ground Cable Laying Method should be selected.
Note: The routing line is also used to bridge gaps between different raceway systems where cables simply jump from one raceway to another. In this case no Cable Laying Method should be defined as the cable route is assumed to have an indefinite capacity in which case the cables will jump through cable route as long as fill capacities are available on the raceways the cable route is connecting.
  2. When defining override for the In the Ground method, user needs to define the Parameter 1. The value of Parameter 1 represents the maximum number of cables that can be auto routed through the same cable route (placed using raceway router).

Default value is 1, which means only one cable can be auto routed through a single cable route if the In the Ground cable laying method is selected. To change the value for Parameter 1 simply typing new value in the Parameter 1 field in Configuration dialog box.

  3. Click OK to apply the Parameter 1 Value.
